Olivier Boscagli to join Brighton as free agent this summer

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Brighton & Hove Albion have completed the signing of Olivier Boscagli on a free transfer, with the French centre back set to join the club from PSV Eindhoven at the start of July.

The 27-year-old has agreed terms after opting not to extend his contract with the Dutch side, ending a five-year spell in the Eredivisie.

Boscagli leaves PSV having played a key role in their 2024 league title triumph, and brings with him a wealth of experience in European football.

Brighton had shown interest in the defender as early as last summer, but saw multiple bids—believed to be in the region of €8–10 million—turned down by the Dutch champions.

The Seagulls’ patience has paid off, with the south coast club now securing the player’s services without a transfer fee.
