Kulusevski not fit for Europa League final

Tottenham Hotspur could be without Dejan Kulusevski for the Europa League final after suffering a knee injury against Crystal Palace, according to reports.

Ange Postecoglou is hopeful Kulusevski only suffered a minor knee injury in a clash with Marc Guehi that saw him substituted.

The Sweden international missed training on May 12 and there are concerns he could miss the final.

Kulusevski’s absence will be a blow to Postecoglou’s side, having already lost James Maddison and Lukas Bergvall to injuries earlier in the season.

Kulusevski was Spurs’ standout performer in the first half of the season and has been out for almost two months with a foot injury.

The 25-year-old has not looked fully fit. But he has started each of the last three games since Maddison’s injury.

The absence of both Kulusevski and Maddison leaves Spurs with a lack of creative play in midfield and they will need to find a solution.

The absence of Bergvall also means they only have three senior midfielders fit to play in Rodrigo Bentancur, Yves Bissouma and Pape Sar.

Kulusevski was one of three players who started against Bodo Glimt in Norway before continuing his run at Palace three days later.
